bad-smoking-habits-to-quit-and-overcomeFor those people who still have some BAD HABITS they’d like to be rid of, this is one of the best opportunities EVER, to lose them for good using just one of the revolutionary techniques developed by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes, called Strategic Intervention.

Instead of merely “trying to get rid of the bad habits”, let’s first find what triggers them, understand them, make peace with them and accept them as being the catalyst that’s brought us to this very moment.

Perhaps you have a habit of overeating, an addiction (anything that’s overused to the point that it interferes in the rest of your life, your relationships or business – then that’s an addiction) to drugs, alcohol, coffee or sex, perhaps you have a tendency to spend more than you earn, waste time doing meaningless tasks, you indulge in depression, anger, fear or negativity …. just think of the behavior or emotion that clearly isn’t in your best interests to hang on to. Give it a name … what is it? Say it out loud. (It doesn’t matter if you’re sitting in the middle of your office with other people around you – it’s important that you declare OUT LOUD the bad habit or behaviour you want to get rid of – forever) … in fact at this point, some people, when encouraged to declare their problem behaviour OUT LOUD, realize they actually DON’T WANT TO get rid of it and just think that it’s something they “should” do.

You know, people will only change when they are ready and precisely as much as they choose to, and no more.  It’s up to you to decide when and if you’ll take the next step.

So, if you’re REALLY ready to get rid of your problem behaviour (and this short process works for even the most long-term debilitating addictions and disease), think of the LAST TIME you indulged in this problem behaviour or emotion and ask yourself, “WHAT WAS I FEELING JUST MOMENTS PRIOR TO INDULGING IN THIS PROBLEM BEHAVIOUR OR EMOTION?” The answer is often fear, stress, boredom, anger, frustration, worry, feeling bad about myself or something like that …. What was YOUR feeling that triggered the unwanted behaviour or emotion?

Think of that feeling together with the problem behaviour or emotion and THANK IT … even though it may not look very pretty, even though this bad habit may have caused terrible problems in your life and the life of others, this behavior has a positive intent and right now it’s really beneficial to appreciate it, the more you resist something, the more it persists! The more you fight with something that’s so strong, the more it fights back even stronger, and then you just get caught up in a fight and nothing changes. If you know what I’m talking about, say, “I do”.

So we’re going to try a different approach. We need to come on the side of this behavior that’s been a problem for you. We need to appreciate it. We need to thank this behavior for showing you one way of getting a result.

You see, when people have been struggling with a problem behavior for many years, they’re often harsh on themselves for having the behavior. However, blaming yourself doesn’t work. You see, every problem behavior has a positive intent: to protect, to prevent, to produce or to provide something. If you can understand the positive intent behind your problem, you can understand how to change it in the fastest and most effective way.

Feel a sense of appreciation inside yourself for having this problem in the first place. Go inside your mind and thank this part of yourself for bringing you to this moment. Thank this part of yourself that chose the problem behaviour and will now help you to remember something so VALUABLE that you’ll wonder why you haven’t remembered this before. You’ll wonder why someone isn’t making millions of dollars by selling this simple process that helps people not only understand their bad habits, but helps them remember their LIFE PURPOSE, without even having to use hypnosis, meditation, positive thinking or affirmations.

When you’ve gone inside your mind and truly thanked that part of yourself that chose this problem behaviour or emotion, say out loud “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”.

Thank You!

Now go inside your mind again and ask the question, “what were you REALLY intending to do for me by choosing this problem behaviour or emotion?”

ALL human behavior has a positive intent … even those with negative effects … even yours, especially yours! Imagine what your positive intent might be, imagine an even higher positive intent than that and keep imagining EVEN HIGHER POSITIVE INTENTS. Take them all with you, back to the moment of your birth and imagine growing up with them, then take them all into your future. It can be as simple as that!

  • May you become so conscious of your thoughts, that you will ONLY allow useful ones to enter your mind.

  • May you become so conscious of your words that you will only allow empowering ones to come out of your mouth?

  • May you become so inspired by your journey that the destination will be a pleasant side effect!

  • May your new life be Happy, Prosperous, Healthy & Blessed beyond description.
