While I was founding the original structure for the Robbins Madanes Strategic Intervention online forum, I was reminded how important it was to define our Vision Statement, Mission Statement and the Core Values as clear guidance for any new business.
I could see how a group of individuals all aligned with a similar purpose could create something so profoundly beneficial that millions of people from all around the world would use the Strategic Intervention technique as a resource to get answers, share results, receive support, have some serious fun and join with others to create partnerships, further NEW organizations, businesses and networks that span right around the globe and positively impact people from all walks of life.
As a coach, a parent, a business owner, a student or just someone who wants to build a strong foundation to help guide you through the next phase of your life, the rest of this article is definitely for you.

Just to get you thinking, I’ll give you an example of what Zappos list as their core values, which were NOT defined by just their top level CEO’s, they were defined by their employees, partners and customers (by the way, Zappos are now listed in the Fortune 100 best companies to work for).
1. Deliver WOW through service.
2. Embrace and drive change.
3. Create fun and a little weirdness.
4. Be adventurous, creative and open-minded.
5. Pursue growth and learning.
6. Build open and honest relationships with communication.
7. Build a positive team and family spirit.
8. Do more with less.
9. Be passionate and determined.
10. Be humble.

A CASE STUDY
One morning I was working with an organization who just recently had a dispute in their ranks that had not yet been resolved. The result was that the president and seven other major contributors resigned after a protracted battle that has fractured not only the organization but our local community in the process.

My forté is in creating strong foundations for businesses, so the missing pieces of the puzzle were very apparent after the first few minutes of our meeting that day. They lacked any VISION statement whatsoever and they’d also neglected to put procedures and systems in writing to handle even the most basic tasks should someone leave etc. Now this is fine while everything is running smoothly, but when a problem occurs (and it will), HOW WILL IT BE RESOLVED EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY? WHAT VALUES ARE IMPORTANT TO STAND BY IN TIMES OF CRISIS?
So I will put forward a few ideas and you adapt and rewrite them to suit your own personal needs.
To make Strategic Intervention the most entertaining and beneficial (highest valued, highest paid, highest regarded with the highest recognition) technique/method utilized anywhere in the world.
To care for the needs of ALL our members by providing a place to ask for advice on any matter, share useful resources, have a high quality conversation and contribute with intention to impact the world on an enormous scale by teaching others how to gain greater fulfillment through contribution and growth.
